The NMMU BTech Graduate Exhibition is a collective showing of selected works produced by the fourth year Fine Art students of the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University. The artworks exhibited stem from a multitude of practical disciplines, theoretical underpinnings and conceptualizations. These include two dimensional prints, drawings and illustrations, as well as three dimensional and relief bronze, glass and ceramic sculptural pieces. As a collective, this exhibition acts as a visual study, discussion and exploration of a diverse range of subject matter, including (but not limited to) alchemy, social bipolarity, a manmade apocalypse, Christianity, archaeology, self-help, sweet nothings, text, discommunication, the Virgin Mary, dreams and the practical experimentation of ceramic glazes, forms and textures.
